Visitor Industry Charity Walk

WHAT: Gather your friends, family, co-workers and appetites and mark your calendar for the 8th Annual Alaska Visitors Industry Charity Walk (AVICW). Also known as the “5K graze to raise”, walkers start at the park strip, travel along the coastal trail and through downtown Anchorage where they will stop at different food stations along the way. Walkers end back at the park strip, for the grand finale ”WOW event” with dessert, live entertainment, a beer and wine garden, children’s activities and prize drawings.

WHEN: This year’s walk is scheduled for May 2nd, 2008 beginning at 5:30 pm at the west end of the Park Strip.

COST: The minimum donation is $30 for adults, and $15 for children ages 5-18. If you register by April 29th. Registration is available on-line, in person, by mail or by fax. Please see the registration page for more information.

HOW: To raise money for your favorite non-profit 501 (C)(3), all you need to do is raise $500, and bring a good appetite! See the team information page for more information. OR, if you don't have a favorite non-profit, the money you raise will help support the walk, and all of the great charities that participate.
